Cost: Free

Philadelphia Central Library
1901 Vine St. (4th Floor Conference Room) Philadelphia, PA 19103
About the event

Learn all about the Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP), a cost-share program to help Philadelphia growers implement practices to improve soil and water health. The Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) ensures that growers have access to the financial resources and technical assistance they need to adopt sustainable practices, improve water quality, and protect natural resources. This program is suited for growers with permission from their landowner to be on the land. ACAP applications are due September 15, 2026. In this informational session, Philadelphia growers will learn about how ACAP funds benefit their growing space, hear an overview of the application process, and understand how to implement best management practices (BMPs) to address resource concerns on their land. You’ll meet participants from the Philadelphia County Local Advisory Committee (LAC), who will be facilitating this session. About the Philadelphia County LAC: The Philadelphia County LAC consists of members of the Chester County Conservation District (CCCD) Agricultural Team, the CCCD Grant Coordinator and Managing Director, the Philadelphia County NRCS District Conservationist, and representatives of Philadelphia government agencies and agricultural advocacy groups.
